How to search this index:

The search box at the top right of the table will search any field: Surname/ Fore Name/ Birth Year/ Death Year/ as well as row details like birth name. Enter only one search term. Wild cards are not available, but you can truncate the search term to search for part of a name or date. You can narrow the search by using one or more column fields. Press the return or enter key to search.

For a more structured search, use one or more fields at the top of each column. Be wary of name variants or missing information that might filter out important hits.
